New products on their way!

Monday, July 28th, 2008

I’m excited to announce a new category will be added soon to the LAMA line-up… jewelry! LAMA will soon feature a selection of beautiful handmade jewelry from Argentine designer Jimena Rios.

Along with the new jewelry coming to the shop, I’m also excited to announce that LAMA will soon be carrying limited edition prints from artists Lorena Siminovich and Geninne Zlatkis! These two talented women have been favorites of mine for a long time and I’m thrilled that they will be creating some prints just for LAMA. There are a whole lot of other new items making their way to LAMA HQ. Don’t forget to join the mailing list for info on the latest shop updates, discounts and just some cool LAMA news.

LAMA’s First Week

Monday, July 21st, 2008

I’m excited to say that LAMA had a very exciting first week out! Besides the kind emails from family and friends and others who have stumbled on the shop, LAMA got some great reviews from two of my favorite blogs! The first came from Bloesem.

The next day, I was ecstatic to see LAMA on Modish!

I just wanted to send out a big THANK YOU to Irene and Jen for the wonderful words they wrote about LAMA. I’m still riding on cloud nine over such stellar reviews! To check out the full posts on LAMA, please visit Bloesem and Modish. They’re two of my daily reads and hopefully they’ll become two of yours. Not a bad first week!

A new adventure begins…

Monday, July 14th, 2008

It’s been quite a bit of time in the making but I am so excited to announce that LAMA is finally open! For the past few weeks, I have been doing a lot of reflecting on the experience of getting this store launched and I have to say, it’s been an emotional couple of weeks. It has certainly been the most incredible period of my life and looking back, all I can think is, “Wow Christine, you really did all of those things!” And even though I couldn’t be more exhausted and feeling more nervous about the new adventure I’m about to embark on, I consider myself the luckiest girl in the world. Thank you to everyone who has helped to make all of this possible and for those who read about my crazy adventures along the way. I can’t wait to continue to share my stories and LAMA experiences with an even bigger audience. So on this, the opening day of LAMA, I dedicate this blog to everyone, everything and every place that has made and will continue to make LAMA what it is. I hope you enjoy my store(y).

Above is a photo I took the first day I arrived in Quito, Ecuador. It happened to be spray painted on a wall across the street from where I was staying. I took it as a sign.
